Kinja'd!!!

Here are mine. Feel free to confess on the comments.

Tailgating on the left lane if I can’t pass the moron doing 5 under on the right.

Sometimes I overtake people on the bus lane if I can’t pass on the right.

0 to speed limit as fast as possible on some lights.

Honking at every idiot who tries to go into my lane without a blinker

Getting obscenely angry at the people that go into the EZ-Pass lane on the Toll-booth to pay with money.

Going above and beyond to not let busses and trucks get in front of me.

Honking and being aggressive at the people who do not understand how roundabouts work

Honking almost instantly at people who sit on green lights.

Using the sunroof to flip people (my favourite)

Speeding responsibly

Braking late, carrying a high rate of speed through corners.

I need to buy stock in Bridgestone.

Consistently driving 15-30mph over the limit, depending on wether I’m in Detroit or not.

Passing on the right as soon as possible.

If someone’s tootling along in the left lane, I leave my left blinder on while I sit behind them. I also drive a BMW, so I’m probably a dick.

Also, I will always pass a bus that’s stopping to pick up passengers, as long as I can fit.

I don’t do any of the things you seem to do, other than 6 on the highway maybe. That seems like a rather bad list to be honest.

What I do do is scare passengers by taking roundabouts at a speed they’re not at all familiar with. I do overtake on the right on roundabouts when there’s some slow driver in the wrong (left) lane on larger roundabouts, which is something I probably shouldn’t do. I have very little patience with people who for some reason are afraid to use their steering wheel. Especially those people who are quick in straights, brake hard and then crawl through a turn.

1, 3, and 10. In addition:

If I’m signalling to change lanes and a car isn’t giving me decent space, I’ll just squeeze in anyway if I know I can fit my vehicle.

I have a horrible habit, which i picked up only when I got my Si, to dive quickly into lanes because I have a smaller car.

1, 3, sometimes 4, 5 is justifiable but doesn’t apply to me, 6 sometimes, 7 and 8 don’t apply to me but I do honk at people who stop at yields, and 10 occasionally.

I also got scolded at work last winter because my work truck’s tires were awful and as a result I was sideways around just about every corner because I eventually stopped caring. I frequently end up sideways around corners still and just ride it out instead of backing off and correcting properly. I also drive waaaay too quickly (by some people’s standards) on gravel and snowy roads. But as a result it’s been a long time since I wasn’t able to get myself out of somewhere.

I’m generally a passive driver but if someone’s tailgating me and can’t pass then I will not hesitate to drop to 10 below the speed limit.

I like to add the blinker whilst moving over in these scenarios. I knew you were crowding me out to be a dick, so I waited until you let your guard down, leaving me a sizeable gap without the need for braking, so I shall take it.

If I’m overtaking someone, a car comes up behind me, and that car’s driver decides to go for the right lane to pass me? I speed up to block that pass.

I’m not going to let them cut me off hard and nearly rear-end the vehicle I’m passing just to get slightly ahead. I’ll happily get over after I’ve completed my pass and let you past.

This goes doubly so if there’s a lane to the left of me - you douchenozzle, you could’ve passed me on the left, put everyone in far less danger, and I wouldn’t have blocked you to prevent that danger.

Under taking trucks. Alright, we’ve waited for 9 hours while you do 60 past the truck doing 59.999999 mph and you just HAD to get past. Now it’s clear move the fuck back over. I count to 10 in my head and if they haven’t either put their blinker on or made some indication of moving over, I’m putting it back in third and passing you.

Additionally, if you’re going below the speed limit and I can pass, I will pass. Double yellow? Don’t care as long as I can see far enough ahead.

I also don’t let people over if it’s clearly marked as a turn lane and they’re just trying to cut the line or they’re trying to cut in on the turn lane instead of waiting like the rest of us. To be a hypocrite, I cut in at the last minute cause I can.

I really try not to drive like a dick, but with the M3 it’s soooo easy. I got a BMW and then understand why BMW drivers drive like assholes, it’s cause it’s easy to drive like a dick.

I have a tendency to jump off the line and the second I shift into second, floor it. When I let off depends on my mood.

Consistently and constantly speeding everywhere I go. Not ridiculously, but not exactly the usual 5 over either.

Riding someone’s ass when they can’t be bothered to do the speed limit or take off too slow from stops.

Squeaking my tires from first into second to scare people who are being stupid.

Passing people even when I legally can’t. I did this more in the M3 than my S10 because it was waaaay easier.

Similar behaviors save me a considerable amount of time surprisingly. When I worked about 1hr 30min away it could save 15-20 min and with being 30 min away it can save 5(more safe speeding here since it’s country driving mainly).

Dicks like you are the reason I have a shitty DD. Don’t take the anger of your 1.5 hour commute out on the other people on the road. Move dumbass. Try to cut me off? Better not fuck up because I’m not braking to let you in. Trying to use the exit lane as a passing lane? Better get on the gas because that curb/guard rail is coming up fast and I’m not moving over to let you in. Better hope I don’t end up in the same parking lot as you because you might get a hitch ball stamp in your bumper.

Awe that sucks. If you are ever in a rental but forgot your cash in the future just run the booth in the EZ Pass lane. They will bill the rental car company and the rental car company will forward you a bill. It’s not a big deal. I think the upcharge is like $5.

Absolutely! I’m all for hating on left lane hogs, semi trucks trying to pass each other for miles, inattentive drivers, and slow turners but goodness take a deep breath and relax. I am sure that 5 extra minutes sitting at your desk instead of your car isn’t going to be significantly more productive. Just because your an enthusiast doesn’t give you free reign to be an ass on the road.

1. Not shitty. It’s the person going slow in the passing lane that is doing something shitty.

2. Necessary, not shitty.

3. Not shitty.

4. Not shitty. They deserve it!

5. Perfectly reasonable.

6. Okay... that’s shitty behaviour.

7. Understandable. People need to learn how to drive.

8. Necessary, not shitty.

9. Not shitty if someone deserves it. But not smart either. Could lead to a road rage incident.

10. Not shitty... necessary to keep up with traffic.

1/10 in shittiness.

I get it and I too hate tailgaters but, unlike the famous bumper sticker, I won’t purposely slow down to teach them a lesson. That just annoys people and they’ll be more prone to overtake when it’s not safe and risk causing an accident. At most I’ll flash my brakes a couple of times and I find that’s enough to create some distance.

Let’s say you’re in a rush and you’re taking your elevator down to the ground floor. Someone comes in, sees that you are running late, and proceeds to push all the buttons. Do you then a) give them a high five, or b) punch them in the face?

I drive perhaps a little... sideways. In the snow. Probably more than I should. In fact, just this morning, in the middle of one such maneuver, I found my car heading toward a snowbank too small to stop me from going over a bank... so I did what any responsible rally driver would do: When In Doubt, Flat Out! I put it in first and floored it, cutting the wheel away, then back toward the bank in, you guessed it, full opposite lock, foot still flat down. As snow flew over my roof from the bank as my left rear tire spun it up into the air like a snowgun, my kids in the back seat giggled. Oh yeah did I mention I do this with my kids in the backseat?

This internet can be deleted, right?
